Currently, 89 telecom sites are operational across various parts of Ghor, providing phone and internet services to residents.

Mohammad Yousuf Rahnama, head of the Telecommunications and IT Department in Ghor, stated that since the Taliban’s return to power, 49 new sites have been activated in the province. He added that with the launch of these sites, 2G, 3G, and 4G services have also been made available to the people.

Ghor province is among the mountainous and hard-to-reach provinces in central Afghanistan, where the development of telecommunications infrastructure has always faced technical and geographical challenges. Nevertheless, about 30% of the province’s areas remain without telecom coverage, and residents in these regions continue to face difficulties accessing communication services.

Experts in the telecommunications sector emphasize that the equitable expansion of communication services in remote areas requires transparent planning and sustainable investment. They expect the Taliban administration to be accountable in this regard to ensure that underserved populations also benefit from essential telecommunications services.

Telecommunications coverage in Ghor province reaches 70% with 49 new sites activated, expanding 2G, 3G, and 4G services despite ongoing challenges.

[17,14

post-10037","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-technology
["GET
