The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has reported that since October 2023, hundreds of thousands of children in the Gaza Strip have been deprived of access to formal education.<\/p>\n
Despite this situation, UNRWA stated that educational activities supported by the agency are still ongoing. Between March 9 and 15 alone, nearly 60,000 children in temporary shelters and over 280,000 children through digital platforms participated in educational programs.<\/p>\n
These programs are being conducted while many schools in Gaza remain unable to operate normally due to ongoing hostilities and damage to educational infrastructure, with thousands of families displaced.<\/p>\n
UNRWA emphasized its efforts to maintain the educational process for children but noted that expanding these services and reaching more children requires greater access and resources.
