Iran’s Foreign Minister Discusses Indirect US Talks with Egyptian and Qatari Counterparts

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held separate phone calls with his Egyptian and Qatari counterparts to discuss recent regional developments and the progress of indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington. He emphasized drafting a negotiation framework based on mutual respect and interests.

According to Iranian media reports, Araghchi spoke with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati, highlighting the current status of indirect talks between Iran and the United States. He stressed efforts to establish a framework that considers the rights and interests of both parties. The two officials also exchanged views on regional developments and shared interests.

Egypt’s Foreign Minister welcomed the continuation of the diplomatic process and underscored the importance of sustained consultations to reach a mutually acceptable framework for all involved parties.

In a separate call, Seyed Abbas Araghchi spoke with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani about the progress of the indirect talks and regional developments. Both sides emphasized ongoing cooperation and consultation within the framework of regional collaborations aiming to facilitate the diplomatic process.
