Pakistani Delegation Visits Afghanistan for Talks on Durand Line and Trade

Pakistani media have reported that a high-level official delegation from Pakistan arrived in Afghanistan on Tuesday, October 21, to discuss the current situation along the Durand Line and trade-related issues between the two neighboring countries.
According to sources cited by the media, the visit was pre-arranged and is not related to the closure of the Torkham border crossing or recent clashes in the border area.
Amid rising tensions along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border and repeated closures of key crossings, analysts view this visit as a step toward crisis management between the two sides. Despite trade between Afghanistan and Pakistan being conducted primarily through these routes, ongoing political and security disputes have significantly disrupted the process.
While the visit is considered highly significant from both political and economic perspectives, the Taliban administration has so far made no public statement regarding the matter. Their continued silence on major regional issues comes as their foreign policies, especially towards neighboring countries, face mounting criticism.
