Drone Attack Attributed to Yemen Triggers Alarm in Eilat, Southern Israel

Hebrew media have reported that following a drone attack attributed to Yemen, warning sirens were activated in the city of Eilat in southern Israeli-controlled territory. According to these sources, the drone entered the airspace over the Gulf of Eilat, prompting a state of alert in the area.
Israel’s Channel 12 News stated that alongside the sounding of the sirens, multiple explosions were heard in the vicinity. Defense systems responded by tracking the drone.
The newspaper Israel Hayom also quoted its sources claiming that a drone was intercepted over the Gulf of Eilat. So far, no further details regarding potential damage or casualties have been released.
Meanwhile, Yemen’s armed forces have declared that in response to ongoing military tensions in the region, and within the framework of supporting the Islamic Republic of Iran and what they described as the “resistance fronts” in Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine, they are conducting military operations against Israel.
Eilat is located at the southernmost point of Israeli-controlled territory, adjacent to the Red Sea. In recent months, it has repeatedly been targeted by long-range attacks from regional groups.
