Herat Traders Donate 15 Million Afghanis to Support War Victims in Iran

The Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment has announced that local traders have allocated approximately 15 million Afghanis through this organization to support families affected by the war in Iran. This aid package was handed over to the Iranian consulate in Herat on Saturday.

Officials from the chamber stated that the purpose of this action is to express sympathy and solidarity with families harmed by the recent attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran. According to them, these contributions have been coordinated with local Herat authorities and delivered via the Iranian consulate.

Mohammad Younus Qazizadeh, head of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said: “Today we presented 15 million Afghanis to the dear people of Iran through Herat provincial authorities and the Iranian consulate, and this process will continue.”

Meanwhile, Iranian consulate officials in Herat expressed gratitude for this initiative and emphasized that Afghanistan and Iran have always stood by each other and understand each other’s hardships.

The Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment also reminded that the Iranian people have supported the Afghan population during various crises, with their cooperation reaching families in need across Afghanistan in different sectors.

Officials from the organization added that humanitarian aid from the private sector to victims in Iran will continue.
