Focus Magazine: Attack on Natanz Highlights Trump’s Inability to Manage Iran Tensions

The German magazine Focus, in a recent report, stated that the US and Israel’s attempt to attack the Natanz nuclear facility exposes President Donald Trump’s inability to manage and sustain tensions with Iran. The publication warned that such an action could have wide-ranging consequences for the region.

According to Mehr News Agency, Focus emphasized that instead of engaging in dialogue and coordinating more closely with the military on next steps, Trump resorted to issuing ultimatums. The article’s author criticized this approach, suggesting it reflects Trump’s lack of preparedness to handle such a crisis.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization announced on Saturday that the Natanz nuclear site had been targeted by bombing from Israel and the United States. The organization added that no radioactive leakage was reported as a result of the attack and that there is no threat to residents in the surrounding areas. According to the agency, this attack constitutes a violation of international nuclear safety standards.

Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, also called on the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency to objectively investigate and assess the incident. She emphasized that the Natanz uranium enrichment facility, which is under IAEA safeguards, was targeted once again despite previous claims of the “complete destruction” of Iran’s nuclear program in airstrikes last June.

The Natanz facility is considered one of Iran’s main uranium enrichment centers, and any military action against it could have extensive political and security implications regionally and internationally.
