Pakistan Airstrike Hits Kabul; Shops and Homes Damaged

Following last night’s airstrike by Pakistan on parts of Kabul city, several civilians lost their lives, and a clinic along with dozens of shops and residential houses were damaged. The incident took place in the Qala-e-Shaheed area of the Siyah Sang sector, causing extensive financial losses to local residents.
According to preliminary information, the blast wave destroyed walls, shattered windows, and ruined commercial properties. Local footage and eyewitness accounts show that a significant portion of civilian facilities in this area sustained damage.
Several shop owners reported losing their entire capital in an instant and are now facing serious economic challenges. They stated that many of their goods and work equipment were completely destroyed, leaving them unable to rebuild.
This is not the first time civilian infrastructure in Afghanistan has been targeted. Previously, a market near Torkham and also an oil storage facility belonging to a private company in Kandahar were struck, causing considerable financial damage.
The continuation of such incidents raises questions about how the security of citizens and protection of civilian infrastructure in the country are ensured. It is expected that the Taliban administration will provide a clear response to this issue.
