Francis Fukuyama Criticizes Trump’s Middle East Policy, Compares Him to a ’10-Year-Old Boy’

Francis Fukuyama, the renowned political theory scholar, sharply criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s approaches to regional developments, warning that these policies could have dangerous consequences.
In a heated statement, he likened the current state of the United States to a situation “as if the country is under the control of a 10-year-old boy who has found a flamethrower in his backyard and enjoys setting fires.”
Fukuyama emphasized that continuing such an approach could pose greater challenges to regional stability, adding: “Someone needs to stop this boy.”
These remarks come amid rising tensions in the Middle East in recent months. Many analysts attribute Washington’s policies, especially towards Iran, as a factor escalating the atmosphere of distrust. However, U.S. officials have consistently stressed that their actions are taken within the framework of the country’s national interests.
