Iran Vows to Take Necessary Measures for National Security in the Strait of Hormuz

A spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the country, as one of the coastal states of the Strait of Hormuz, considers itself entitled to take necessary actions to ensure national security and prevent potential misuse of this waterway.

Referring to the strategic position of the Strait of Hormuz, the spokesperson stated that Iran has always played the role of “guardian and protector” of this crucial maritime passage and has emphasized the safe transit of ships. According to him, the current situation results from actions taken by the United States and Israel.

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the most important energy transit routes in the world, and any developments there could have extensive regional and international consequences. Iranian officials have repeatedly stressed the importance of maintaining security and stability in this maritime corridor in recent years.

These recent remarks from the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson come amid regional developments and escalating tensions, which have once again focused attention on the security of this waterway.
