Four Civilians Killed in Pakistani Attacks Across Several Afghan Provinces

Hamdullah Fetrat, Deputy Spokesperson of the Taliban administration, has announced that as a result of Pakistani attacks over the past 24 hours on parts of Afghanistan, four civilians, including two children, have lost their lives and nine others have been injured. According to him, these incidents occurred on Monday, March 15, following attacks on the provinces of Nuristan, Khost, Kunar, and Paktika. Fetrat added that alongside human casualties, several local residents’ homes were also destroyed. The Deputy Spokesperson of the Taliban administration accused Pakistan of deliberately targeting residential areas with rockets and artillery. However, Pakistani officials have not yet formally responded to these allegations. Clashes between Taliban forces and Pakistan have been ongoing for more than two weeks. In recent days, Pakistani air and rocket strikes on various parts of Afghanistan have increased, with reports emerging of attacks targeting areas in Kabul, Kandahar, and some other provinces. In response, the Taliban administration has continued drone attacks against targets inside Pakistani territory, as well as assaults on that country’s border posts; actions that have raised concerns about further escalation of tensions and harm to civilians. With the situation ongoing, residents of the border regions have called for a reduction in hostilities and prevention of repeated human casualties.
