Afghanistan Freedom Front Claims Killing Two Taliban Members in Kabul

The Afghanistan Freedom Front has announced that it killed two members of the Taliban administration and injured two others in a recent attack in Kabul.
According to a statement released by the group on Sunday, October 18, along with video footage, the operation targeted a Taliban administration Ranger vehicle on the road between the airport and Qasaba, in eastern Kabul.
The attack, reportedly carried out with light weapons, comes despite repeated Taliban claims that they have secured the capital. However, such incidents reflect the fragile security situation and expose the underlying volatility on the ground.
The Freedom Front had also claimed responsibility for another attack a day earlier in the Company–Kote Sangi area of Kabul, saying it had killed two other Taliban-affiliated forces.
Although independent sources have not verified these claims, the continued assaults point to a rise in activity by armed groups opposing Taliban rule in the capital and other parts of the country, raising new concerns about the Taliban’s ability to manage security.
