Washington Rally Condemns Pakistani Airstrikes on Afghanistan

The United States branch of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) held a rally in Washington, D.C., condemning the Pakistani military’s airstrikes on Afghanistan. Organizers stated that the gathering was in protest against the bombing of Afghan territories, the killing of civilians, and the continuation of cross-border attacks.
Participants said the action was organized in response to the increase in air attacks by the Pakistani military on parts of Afghan soil. They described these attacks as a violation of Afghanistan’s territorial sovereignty and called for their immediate cessation.
Afghan residents in the United States who attended the rally emphasized that their aim was to raise the voice of the Afghan people and draw the international community’s attention to the security situation in the border regions. They also urged international organizations to take a clear stance against what they described as “injustice towards Pashtuns and Afghans.”
The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, which primarily operates among Pakistan’s Pashtuns, has repeatedly protested the Pakistani military’s actions in border areas. This rally was part of civil activists’ efforts to highlight the consequences of military attacks on civilians in the region.
