The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced that China is allocating $200,000 in emergency humanitarian aid to support the families of students who lost their lives in an attack on a school in the city of Minab, Iran.
Gao Jiakun stated on Friday during a press conference that the Red Cross Society of China has decided to deliver this financial aid through the Iranian Red Crescent Society to the affected families. According to him, this assistance is intended to express condolences and support for the survivors of the victims.
The Chinese diplomat described the attack on an educational center as a “crossing of the lowest boundary of human ethics” and added that his country is ready to continue providing necessary aid to Iran.
The city of Minab is located in the Hormozgan province in southern Iran. So far, no further details have been released regarding how this aid will be distributed or any additional potential cooperation.
