CNN Reports Minab Missile Debris Matches US Tomahawk Cruise Missiles

CNN has reported that an analysis of missile debris from a strike on a girls’ school in Minab, Iran, indicates the fragments match characteristics of Tomahawk cruise missiles, which are typically part of the United States’ arsenal.

According to the network, military experts who spoke with CNN said the images released of the missile debris show a significant resemblance to Tomahawk missiles. The newly released video is described on CNN’s website as the clearest evidence regarding the origin of the missile attack.

The report states that Tomahawk missiles are used by the US as part of military operations against Iran and that this type of missile is not possessed by Iran. CNN also referenced other independent evaluations based on analyses of the remaining debris.

Earlier, The New York Times reported that the remnants of missiles believed to have targeted a naval base and a girls’ elementary school in southern Iran contained indications of American-made cruise missiles.

Meanwhile, Human Rights Watch has called for an independent investigation into the February 28 attack on the school in Minab, which, according to reports, resulted in the deaths of 165 female students. The organization emphasized that clarifying the details of the incident and holding those responsible accountable is essential to protecting civilian rights during armed conflicts.
