Taliban’s Acting Foreign Minister Calls Attacks on Pakistan ‘Defense of Afghanistan’s Territory’

Acting Foreign Minister of the Taliban administration, Amir Khan Muttaqi, described the recent military actions against Pakistan as a defense of Afghanistan’s airspace, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He made these remarks last night in Kabul during a meeting with foreign diplomats, representatives from the United Nations, the European Union, and several international organizations.
According to the information provided, the main focus of the meeting was to discuss recent tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Muttaqi emphasized in this meeting that any military actions taken by the Taliban administration were within the framework of defending the country’s territory.
Tensions between Kabul and Islamabad have increased in recent months, with both sides accusing each other of violating boundaries and carrying out attacks. Under these circumstances, concerns have grown about the escalation of conflicts and the potential impact on security and the lives of residents in border areas.
Experts believe that continuing this situation could further complicate the political and economic relations between the two countries and that greater transparency and accountability from responsible authorities are needed regarding the potential consequences.
