Russia Affirms Support for Iran, Calls for Immediate Halt to Conflicts

Andrey Kelin, Russia’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, stated that his country will not remain neutral in the ongoing war, which he claims was initiated by the United States and Israel against Iran, and will continue to support Tehran.
According to international media reports, the senior Russian diplomat criticized the military actions taken by the U.S. and Israel against Iran and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities. He emphasized that Moscow views the approach of some Western countries toward this conflict as biased.
Kelin added that, from Russia’s perspective, the clashes were started by Washington and Tel Aviv, while some Western governments hold Iran responsible for the current situation.
Russia has previously taken positions close to Tehran on developments related to Iran. The recent remarks by the ambassador in the UK suggest that Moscow is positioning itself for a more active role in the ongoing regional dynamics.
