Taliban Claims Killing 110 Pakistani Soldiers in Durand Line Clashes

The Taliban administration’s Ministry of Defense has announced that during what it calls “retaliatory attacks” along the Durand Line, 110 Pakistani soldiers were killed and 68 others wounded. The ministry also claimed that its forces captured 27 posts belonging to the Pakistani army.

In the statement released by the ministry, no further details were provided regarding the exact timing of the clashes, the locations involved, or the number of casualties on the Taliban side. Pakistani officials have not yet issued any official comment on the matter, and independent sources have not verified these claims.

The Durand Line has always been a flashpoint of tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan and has been the site of frequent border clashes in recent years. However, the increase in such tensions has raised concerns about worsening insecurity in the border areas and its impact on the lives of the local population.

Experts believe that the continuation of border clashes, without transparency and accountability, could further complicate the security situation in the region. At a time when the Taliban administration is responsible for nationwide security, managing border tensions through diplomatic means and preventing the escalation of violence is a serious demand from the citizens.
