Campaign Launched to Plant Hundreds of Thousands of Trees in Badakhshan and Samangan

Local officials have announced the launch of a new tree-planting campaign in the provinces of Badakhshan and Samangan. This year, hundreds of thousands of saplings are set to be planted across these two regions. According to authorities, 300,000 saplings will be planted in Badakhshan alone, with a significant number also planned for Samangan.
Officials stated that the goals of this initiative are to restore green areas, promote a culture of environmental protection, and encourage residents to actively participate in greening their cities. They emphasized that the cooperation of the local population in caring for and maintaining the saplings is crucial to the campaign’s success.
Badakhshan and Samangan, located in the northern and northeastern parts of the country, have faced challenges in recent years related to climate change and declining vegetation cover. Officials expressed hope that the implementation of this program will positively impact the environmental conditions of these areas.
