86 Million Afghani Infrastructure Project Launched at Sultan Ghiasuddin Airport in Ghor Province

Officials in Ghor province have announced the commencement of an infrastructure project worth 86 million Afghani at Sultan Ghiasuddin Airport. This project is being funded by the development budget of the relevant ministry. According to the provided information, the project includes the reconstruction of an 820-meter long and 30-meter wide runway. Additionally, the construction of a ramp, taxiway, and water drainage channels are also part of the planned work. Sultan Ghiasuddin Airport in Ghor is considered one of the key transportation hubs in the province. Ghor is one of the mountainous and less-developed provinces of the country, and improving transportation infrastructure can significantly facilitate residents’ mobility and access to services. Meanwhile, a number of the province’s residents have consistently emphasized the need for transparency in the use of development budgets and the timely completion of projects—issues that the Taliban administration is also expected to seriously consider during the execution of this project.
