Amrullah Saleh Blames Pakistan’s Policies for Afghanistan Crisis

Amrullah Saleh, former Vice President of Afghanistan, has described the current situation in the country, which he called an “ongoing catastrophe,” as a direct result of Pakistan’s misguided policies. He stated that Pakistan is trying to evade its core responsibilities by killing civilians and bombing people’s homes.
Saleh emphasized that the continuation of violence and instability in Afghanistan stems from regional approaches and condemned attacks on residential areas. According to him, targeting civilians not only fails to resolve the crisis but also worsens the humanitarian situation.
He also made his stance against the Taliban clear with the slogan “Down with the Taliban,” considering the group as part of the ongoing crisis. Saleh further criticized Pakistan, labeling its actions regarding Afghanistan’s developments as reprehensible.
These remarks come as Afghanistan faces widespread political, security, and economic challenges following the Taliban’s takeover, with ongoing debates about the role of regional actors in the country’s developments.
