Taliban Administration Launches 183 Development Projects in Parwan Province

The Taliban’s Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has announced the completion and inauguration of 183 development projects in the Salang and Shinwari districts of Parwan province, with a total cost of 270 million Afghanis. According to the ministry, these projects encompass various development sectors and are now accessible to local residents.
Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, the minister of the Rural Rehabilitation and Development under the Taliban administration, welcomed the completion of these projects and stated that the ministry is committed to addressing the needs of the people and implementing infrastructure projects. He emphasized that development programs in different areas of the country continue to progress.
The minister also highlighted major economic projects, including the Qosh Tapa Canal and the Kajaki Dam, describing them as significant infrastructure initiatives. The Qosh Tapa Canal, under construction in northern Afghanistan, aims to transfer water for irrigating agricultural lands, while the Kajaki Dam in Helmand province is among the key facilities for electricity production and water management.
However, while the Taliban administration speaks about expanding development projects, many citizens across several provinces continue to complain about the lack of basic services, unemployment, and economic difficulties. Analysts believe that transparency in budget spending, independent oversight, and equitable project distribution are essential factors requiring serious attention to gain public trust and ensure sustainable development.
Taliban officials have urged residents to cooperate in maintaining and caring for public facilities to ensure these projects remain usable in the long term.
