Taliban Administration Assigns Committees to Review Kabul Administrative Complex and Healthcare Challenges

The Taliban administration has appointed committees to evaluate the Kabul Provincial Administrative Complex and address healthcare issues. The deputy spokesperson of the Taliban stated that during the fifteenth cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, a special committee was established to assess the construction plan for the administrative complex in Kabul province. According to Hamdullah Fetrat, the complex is planned to be built in the Tara Khel Tangi area of Deh Sabz district.

Based on released information, the committee is tasked with reviewing the building plans and various aspects of the project and submitting its evaluation results to the Taliban leadership. So far, no details regarding the start date or cost of the project have been announced.

Additionally, during the same meeting, a committee led by Abdul Salam Hanafi, the administrative deputy prime minister, was assigned to engage with relevant institutions in the healthcare sector. The purpose of this assignment is to examine existing challenges faced by healthcare personnel and propose solutions to resolve these issues.

These decisions come amid ongoing widespread difficulties in Afghanistan’s healthcare sector in recent years, including shortages of resources and high workloads. The results of these evaluations are expected to be transparently shared with the public to allow assessment of the Taliban administration’s fulfillment of its commitments.
