Balkh and Uzbekistan Emphasize Strengthening Trade Relations

Local officials and traders from Balkh province, during a meeting with Uzbek officials and businessmen, stressed the importance of maintaining and expanding trade cooperation between the two sides. At the meeting, Afghan traders called for addressing visa issuance issues and resolving certain legal challenges in the trade process.

According to participants, facilitating the movement of traders and removing legal obstacles can accelerate commercial exchanges and pave the way for expanded investment on both sides of the border. They emphasized the continuation of joint talks to address existing issues.

The Uzbek Consul General in Balkh, referring to the concerns raised, stated that efforts to reduce barriers and provide more facilities for trade cooperation are ongoing. He highlighted the significance of economic relations between Balkh and Uzbekistan as one of the key routes for regional exchanges.
