Afghan National Development Company Delegation Arrives in Minsk to Discuss Economic Cooperation

Belarus’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that a delegation from the Afghan National Development Company has arrived in Minsk and held discussions with Belarusian officials on expanding economic cooperation. During the meeting, both parties emphasized increasing exports of Belarusian machinery and agricultural products to Afghanistan.

According to a statement released by the ministry, Belarusian officials described the prospects for cooperation in supplying goods needed for major development projects in Afghanistan as “broad.” They expressed hope that these collaborations would lead to enhanced trade exchanges between the two sides.

The meeting also resulted in an agreement to strengthen contacts and coordination in the fields of industry, agriculture and food products, public health, and education. No further details were provided regarding the timeline, investment amounts, or implementation mechanisms of these agreements.

The Afghan National Development Company, operating under the Taliban administration, has been responsible for several significant construction and infrastructure projects in recent years. However, its management practices, contract transparency, and use of project funds have consistently raised questions among experts and citizens. It is expected that any foreign cooperation will be accompanied by transparency and accountability.
