Merois Azizi Emphasizes Need for 24-Hour Electricity to Boost Afghan Industry

Merois Azizi, head of the Azizi Group, emphasized the essential need for 24-hour electricity during the signing ceremony of new contracts between the electricity company and his investment group. He stated that providing continuous electricity is a fundamental prerequisite for industrial growth in Afghanistan. Azizi explained that Afghan businessmen are ready to invest in the manufacturing sector, but without stable power, it is impossible to establish and sustain factory operations.
According to him, factories require consistent and uninterrupted energy to operate continuously and compete in the market. Azizi added that the lack of sufficient electricity is one of the major challenges facing industrial investment in the country.
The head of the Azizi Group also stressed that the key to Afghanistan’s economic progress lies in the development of energy infrastructure, especially electricity. He expressed hope that by expanding cooperation in this sector, the ground will be laid for increased domestic production and the creation of more job opportunities.
