Former French Culture Minister and Wife Receive Police Protection After Epstein Ties Revealed

French media have reported that Jacques Lang, the country’s former Minister of Culture, and his wife have been placed under police protection following online threats. These threats intensified after the disclosure of Lang’s connections with Jeffrey Epstein, the American sex offender.

According to news sources, the French Attorney General’s office initiated formal investigations last week into allegations of money laundering involving Jacques Lang and his son. This legal process followed the release of documents and reports pointing to Lang’s financial relationships and possible ties with Epstein.

In response to these developments, Jacques Lang announced his intention to resign from his position as head of the Arab World Research Institute, a cultural institution based in Paris dedicated to Arab world studies.

Based on documents released by the United States judiciary, Jacques Lang’s name appears 673 times in correspondence related to Jeffrey Epstein. These records reveal connections and shared interests between Lang and the American criminal, sparking widespread reactions and security concerns.
