According to the official Xinhua News Agency, following the blast, the legal representative of Jiapeng Biotechnology Company was detained by authorities, and a special investigative team has been dispatched to the scene to determine the cause and circumstances of the accident. Xinhua added that the company is located in a mountainous area, and dark yellow smoke rose from the site after the explosion.
