UNRWA: Restrictions Prevent Aid from Reaching Needy Gaza Residents

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has announced that it possesses the capacity, expertise, and access necessary to provide essential services across the Gaza Strip. However, systematic restrictions have hindered the delivery of aid to residents who depend on it for survival.
According to the announcement, UNRWA is capable of delivering vital services in various areas of Gaza, including healthcare, educational programs, and activities related to water and sanitation—services that are crucial to the daily lives of thousands of families.
Nevertheless, the agency states that existing obstacles regularly disrupt the access of its staff and resources to the people in need, diminishing its ability to respond to urgent requirements.
UNRWA emphasized that the continuation of these restrictions carries severe humanitarian consequences, urging that safe and unobstructed access be ensured to deliver humanitarian aid throughout the Gaza Strip.
