Taliban Administration Denies Pakistan’s Accusations Following Islamabad Attack

The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense has vehemently denied recent accusations by Pakistani officials following a deadly attack on a mosque in Islamabad, calling the claims irresponsible and baseless.

This response came after Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, tweeted that initial findings indicate the suicide attacker was moving between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

In a statement, the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense criticized Pakistan’s defense minister for immediately blaming Afghanistan without conducting proper investigations. The ministry noted that this approach has been repeatedly used in connection with security incidents in Balochistan and other areas in Pakistan.

The statement emphasized that attributing such attacks to Afghanistan lacks any logic or foundation, and such remarks cannot conceal Pakistan’s internal security failures nor help solve existing problems.

Questioning why the attack was not prevented if the perpetrators were immediately identifiable, the Taliban held Pakistani authorities responsible for ensuring security.

The statement also highlighted that the Taliban administration considers itself committed to Islamic values and never approves harming innocent civilians under any circumstances, nor does it support individuals or groups involved in unlawful activities.

In conclusion, the ministry urged Pakistani security officials to acknowledge their internal security shortcomings, reconsider their policies, and adopt a more constructive approach based on cooperation with their citizens and neighboring countries.
