Lavrov: Moscow Ready to Help De-escalate Middle East Tensions

Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s Foreign Minister, recently announced Moscow’s readiness to play a role in easing the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. He emphasized that developments related to Iran are a cause for concern regarding regional stability. Lavrov stated that Iran is a close partner of Russia, and Moscow will not remain indifferent to the current complexities and changes in the region. According to him, the existing situation around Iran could be alarming and, if left unmanaged, may have widespread consequences throughout the Middle East. The Russian Foreign Minister, without providing further details, added that Moscow is prepared to play a constructive role in resolving the current tensions between Tel Aviv, Washington, and Tehran. He stressed the necessity of diplomatic efforts to prevent the escalation of crises in the region.
