Afghanistan’s national futsal team secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in their opening match of the Asian Nations Cup on Wednesday, January 27. The match took place in Indonesia earlier today, where the Afghan squad quickly took control from the early minutes of the game. The first goal was scored by Reza Hosseinpour just seconds into the first half. In the second half, Reza Hosseinpour doubled the lead by scoring again, solidifying Afghanistan’s advantage. The final goal was netted by Omid Ghanbari, confirming the 3-0 win. Afghanistan is set to face Malaysia in their second group stage match. Afghanistan is competing in Group D alongside Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Iran in the Asian Nations Cup.
