UN Reports Over Half a Million People in Gaza Facing Famine

The United Nations has warned in a report that more than half a million residents of the Gaza Strip are currently trapped in famine conditions. The report, based on the latest analysis by the IPC, describes the food security situation in Gaza as catastrophic.
The UN office in Geneva, releasing this statement, called for an immediate halt to attacks and the implementation of a comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza to allow civilians, especially children, access to humanitarian aid. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has worsened since the onset of Israeli military operations, raising concerns among millions of Afghans and people worldwide.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) has welcomed a new initiative presented by the United States government under Donald Trump’s leadership. According to WHO, these plans offer fresh hope for ending the conflict and securing a better future for those affected by the war, particularly children in Gaza.
Although the international community has consistently expressed concern about the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, no practical actions have yet been taken by influential powers to stop this crisis. The UN’s call for a ceasefire is a test of the genuine will of countries to defend human rights and save lives.
