Iran Reports 3,117 Deaths and Extensive Damage in Recent Security Incidents

Official institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran have announced that a total of 3,117 people have lost their lives following recent violent security incidents. Of these, 2,427 individuals have been registered as ‘martyrs’ according to reports from the Forensic Medicine Organization. This data was released by Iran’s Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs.
According to the report, the deceased include both security personnel responsible for maintaining order and ordinary citizens. The agency stated that some victims were passersby caught in shootings or armed attacks, while others were protesters who were shot during gatherings.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council has provided separate figures regarding damages to infrastructure and public property. According to this information, 305 ambulances were damaged, and dozens of gas stations, bus stations, banks, and government centers have been either destroyed or seriously damaged.
The official also reported that hundreds of schools, mosques, seminaries, and vehicles suffered damage. Clashes have been reported in over 400 counties and approximately 100 locations in Iran’s capital.
