Iran Exports 250,000 Broiler Chicks to Afghanistan in Three Days

According to reports, 250,000 one-day-old broiler chicks have been transferred from Iran to Afghanistan over the past three days through 11 shipments via the official border crossing at Dogharoon. These shipments have entered Afghanistan through the formal trade route between the two countries.
IRNA news agency, citing Hossein Jamshidi, the district governor of Taybad in Iran’s Khorasan province, reported that this quantity of chicks was exported in several separate consignments as part of official exports to Afghanistan.
According to him, the export of livestock and livestock products through the Dogharoon border has generated economic revenue for Iran, and this trend has continued in recent years.
It has also been emphasized that for each shipment of chicks, a health certificate is issued by the Livestock and Animal Health Department of Taybad district. In case of any violation, permission to transfer livestock consignments will be denied.
