Macron Calls for Immediate Dialogue with Putin to Resolve Bilateral Disputes

Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, announced his intention to engage in talks with Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, at the earliest possible time to find a way to manage the disputes between the two countries.

In an interview with the French television network France 2, Macron stated that communications between Paris and Moscow are resuming, and he believes these talks should take place in the coming weeks. He emphasized that the existing issues require urgent attention.

The French president stressed that the contact should happen as soon as possible, although he did not provide specific details regarding the potential topics of discussion.

Earlier, Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s Foreign Minister, said that Moscow is always ready for dialogue if Macron wishes to engage. Additionally, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, announced that any official request from the Élysée Palace would be communicated publicly.
