Venezuela Calls for Dialogue with US Based on Mutual Respect and Cooperation

Acting President of Venezuela has announced that Caracas is ready to engage in talks with Washington based on mutual respect, cooperation, and avoidance of external threats. Delcy Rodríguez stated that the people of Venezuela seek peace and peaceful coexistence with other nations within the framework of international rules.

She emphasized that peace among countries is the foundation for lasting global peace, and international relations should be based on balanced interaction, mutual respect, and the principle of non-intervention. According to Rodríguez, Venezuela desires balanced relations with the United States, regional countries, and the global community.

The acting president called for the initiation of direct dialogue between Caracas and Washington to establish a joint cooperation program aimed at developing relations. She expressed hope that such a program could contribute to the development of both countries and strengthen peace in the region within the framework of international law.

Rodríguez added that the people of the region deserve peace and dialogue, not war, noting that the commitment to peace has always been part of the declared stance of Nicolás Maduro, the abducted president of Venezuela, and that this view remains the official position of the Venezuelan government.

The statement concluded by reaffirming Venezuela’s right to peace, development, national sovereignty, and an independent future. At the same time, a number of countries have condemned Washington’s actions regarding the attack on Venezuela and the abduction of its president as violations of the United Nations Charter—a move criticized by analysts as a factor escalating tensions in the region.
