Israeli Military Forces Enter Suburbs of Quneitra in Southern Syria

According to reports from official Syrian media, Israeli military forces entered several areas in the southern suburbs of Quneitra province in southern Syria today; an action that continues almost daily military incursions and activities in this area.

Based on the report, a military unit consisting of three vehicles, including two Hilux trucks and one military Hummer, advanced from the entrance of the town of Bir Ajam towards the village of Briqueh and entered this area.

Syrian media also reported that one day prior to this event, Israeli forces had penetrated the area between the two villages of Ruwayhineh and Al-Mushayrifa and had set up a temporary checkpoint at the crossroads of the village of Umm al-Atham in the northern suburbs of Quneitra.

Following these movements, Israeli soldiers entered the village of Al-Asha, arrested one of the local residents, and simultaneously established another checkpoint between the village of Ein al-Zaywan and the town of Kodneh in the southern suburbs of Quneitra; actions that, according to local sources, constitute a clear violation of Syrian sovereignty.

Reports indicate that Israeli forces continue their presence and interference almost regularly through military incursions, setting up checkpoints, detaining civilians, and destroying local facilities in various parts of southern Syria; a situation that has sparked increasing reactions and concerns among the inhabitants of these areas.
