Saudi Analyst: UAE’s Moves in Yemen Align with Israeli Interests

A Saudi analyst has stated that the United Arab Emirates’ activities in Yemen go beyond internal disputes and are part of a regional power struggle aligned with Israeli objectives.
Fouad Ibrahim, a Saudi analyst, emphasized in an interview with regional media that Abu Dhabi’s role in Yemen, as well as in Sudan, follows plans that favor Israel. According to him, the UAE’s efforts to partition Yemen indicate that its disagreement with Saudi Arabia is not merely tactical.
Ibrahim says that the conflict between Saudi Arabia and the UAE over Yemen is a struggle for political interests and influence, and the military actions of these two countries against Yemen lack political and legal legitimacy. He stresses that the Yemeni people have suffered the most from this conflict.
According to the analyst, the consequences of these clashes have been the destruction of infrastructure and the exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen. He also warns that any potential agreement between the UAE and Tel Aviv to recognize forces stationed in southern Yemen could provide new political backing to advance Abu Dhabi’s projects.
Ibrahim concludes by noting that these developments cannot be examined separately from U.S. policies in the region and believes that crisis management in the Middle East ultimately benefits Israel.
