Address Mapping Survey Launched in Centers of 34 Provinces Across the Country

The National Statistics and Information Authority has announced the launch of an address mapping survey in accessible areas of the centers of 34 provinces across the country. The survey aims to improve digital maps and accurately register geographic locations.
According to the authority, the process has been initiated by the General Directorate of Geographic Information Registration and focuses on creating standardized geodatabases, verifying locations, and facilitating the address system in urban areas.
Mohammad Halim Rafie, spokesperson for the National Statistics and Information Authority, stated that the survey is being conducted using advanced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the QField mapping application.
He added that data collection is being carried out offline to enable data registration in areas with limited internet access.
