Cyber Group Claims to Have Hacked Israeli PM Netanyahu’s Chief of Staff’s Phone

A cyber group known as “Hanzala” has claimed to have accessed a vast trove of confidential information by infiltrating the mobile phone of Tzahi Braverman, chief of staff to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. If verified, this claim could have serious security and political consequences.

According to a message the group posted on the social media platform X, the target of the cyberattack was Braverman’s iPhone 16 Pro Max. Hanzala asserted that the breach was not limited to a single point in time; rather, according to them, access to information has continued for several years.

The cyber group alleges it has obtained encrypted conversations, covert deals, and what they describe as “abuse of power and ethical and financial violations,” referring to these data as part of a “vault of secrets” now in their possession.

In their message, Hanzala warned that further details regarding what they term the “double life” of Netanyahu’s chief of staff may be exposed and introduced a phase called “BibiGate,” a term alluding to a potential scandal surrounding the Israeli prime minister.

The group also issued a threatening tone, claiming that officials’ conversations and communications are not beyond their reach, even during foreign trips and long-haul flights, asserting that no level of movement or security measures can guarantee full immunity.

As of the publication of this report, Israeli officials have not publicly responded to the allegations, and the accuracy of the information has not been independently verified.
