Putin Says Russia Increases Military Pressure on Ukraine Across All Fronts

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, announced after visiting a joint command post that the Russian military has intensified its military pressure on Ukrainian forces across all fronts and maintained the initiative.
According to Putin, the Russian armed forces have carried out their assigned missions during what Moscow calls a “special military operation” and have made advances on the front lines. He emphasized that there is positive news from the battlefield for Russian citizens and that Moscow is pursuing its set objectives in Ukraine.
The Russian president also claimed that his country seeks to end the war through diplomatic means; however, he stated that Kyiv’s officials have shown no willingness to resolve the conflict peacefully. Putin warned that if diplomatic solutions fail, Moscow will continue down the military path.
He attributed the progress of Russian forces in certain areas, including the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions, to the training and preparedness of Russian soldiers, adding that these movements could pave the way for further advances. Putin also reiterated Moscow’s stance on the right to self-determination for residents of eastern Ukrainian regions.
During the visit, Putin received reports on the developments on the ground, including control over some cities in Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk. Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, briefed the president on the status of the front lines and the progress of combat missions.
