UNDP Representative Highlights Livelihood Challenges and Recovery Efforts in Afghanistan

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Afghanistan provided an overview of the country’s current situation in an exclusive interview, stating that the organization is focusing on rebuilding livelihoods and enhancing community resilience against ongoing challenges.
According to the representative, UNDP is implementing local programs aimed at strengthening job opportunities, access to basic resources, and empowering families across various regions. These measures are considered vital for reducing the vulnerability of people amid the current difficult circumstances.
The UNDP official emphasized that the continuation of economic and social crises underscores the need for coordinated global support, particularly as Taliban administration restrictions and policies have complicated the normalization of life and equal access to opportunities for citizens.
The United Nations Development Programme announced that despite existing obstacles, it continues to collaborate with local communities to strengthen internal capacities, enabling people to sustainably revive their livelihoods in the face of economic and social pressures.
