76 Missing Persons Found and Reunited with Families in Khost Over Six Months

The Khost Police Department announced that over the past six months, 76 individuals who had gone missing in the province have been located and returned to their families following security investigations. Among those found, 31 were children.
According to a statement released by the department, the Telecommunications and Information Technology Management, in coordination with Taliban security forces, collected information regarding the disappearance of several Khost residents and initiated investigative processes.
The source added that the results of these investigations show that a significant portion of the people found had either run away from home or attempted to leave the country via illegal routes.
While the Taliban administration reports the return of these individuals to their families, social experts emphasize that the rising cases of runaway children and adolescents require a thorough examination of the underlying social, economic, and security causes. Without supportive and responsive policies, these issues could continue to endanger the lives of residents, especially children.
