Pakistan and Iran Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Situation in Phone Call

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Ishaq Dar, the country’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, held a phone conversation with Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to discuss bilateral relations and the regional situation.
According to the official statement, both sides shared their perspectives on ongoing regional developments and emphasized Islamabad and Tehran’s willingness to continue close cooperation aimed at strengthening regional peace and development.
The discussion also highlighted the expansion of cooperation in trade, regional connectivity, and the development of people-to-people relations between the two countries—areas regarded as important grounds for improving bilateral ties.
As neighboring countries, Pakistan and Iran have in recent years sought to maintain and manage their political and economic relations through diplomatic dialogue, although regional challenges have consistently cast a shadow over these interactions.
