Afghanistan Freedom Front Says It Attacked Taliban Checkpoint in Parwan

The Afghanistan Freedom Front said it carried out a military attack on a Taliban checkpoint on Tuesday evening, 20 October, in the Pul-e-Matak area of Parwan province. The area lies along the main Kabul-to-north highway. According to the group’s statement, three Taliban members were killed and two others were wounded in the clash.

So far, no official reaction has been published by the authorities or media affiliated with the Taliban administration regarding the incident. Previously, members of the Afghanistan Freedom Front released videos showing their presence in the foothills of Badakhshan, rejecting the Taliban’s claim that there were no resistance forces in the country.

The group also reported clashes in Kamdish district of Nuristan province, which it described as its first front-line battles in Badakhshan and Nuristan provinces. These events show that resistance against the Taliban administration continues in parts of northern and northeastern Afghanistan.
