Taliban diplomats meet Afghanistan U-17 futsal team in Iran

Taliban diplomats in Iran have met with Afghanistan’s under-17 futsal team, according to the group, in a visit it said was aimed at encouraging and boosting the players’ morale.

According to information published by the Taliban administration, Fazal Mohammad Haqqani and Musa Khodadi stressed in the meeting that the players should be prepared for the competitions ahead.

Afghanistan’s under-17 national futsal team has been holding a training camp in Iran since the fifth of this month to prepare for the World Olympic Games.

The competition is due to begin on November 1 this year in Senegal. Afghanistan’s under-17 team is in Group A alongside Panama, Argentina and Senegal.
