Afghanistan United Front Says Taliban Commander Killed in Kandahar

The Afghanistan United Front has announced that one of the Taliban administration’s commanders was killed in an attack in Dand district of Kandahar province.

In a statement issued this morning, Wednesday, 15 Mehr, the front claimed the target was a man identified as Izzatullah, whom it said was the commander of the “Tayeb network” and responsible for a “block” within the Taliban administration’s structure.

The Afghanistan United Front also published a video, saying it showed the attack in progress.

The Taliban administration has not yet commented on the incident, and over the past two months it has also not confirmed any of the attacks claimed by the Afghanistan United Front.
