UNICEF teams up with South Korea to improve children’s access to safe water

UNICEF is working with support from South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to improve children’s access to safe water and prevent diseases caused by contaminated water, the agency said, noting that a number of children collect water from unsafe sources every day.

On Sunday, 12 Mehr, UNICEF said some children travel long distances to fetch water from roadside lakes, water that is not safe to drink.

The agency stressed that access to safe water can prevent the spread of diseases caused by contaminated water and save children’s lives.
