Turkmen Language Day Marked in Faryab with Cultural Figures from 10 Provinces

A ceremony marking National Turkmen Language Day was held on Saturday, Oct. 11, in Andkhoy district of Faryab province. Participants at the gathering stressed the preservation and promotion of the Turkmen language and culture.

A number of poets and writers spoke about the importance of the Turkmen language. Turkmen educational centres and private schools also performed songs in the language.

Residents and cultural figures from various Afghan provinces, along with poets, teachers, religious scholars, young people and tribal elders, attended the ceremony.
